Professor Niu Yugang, School of Information Science and Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology, delivered a special report entitled "Synchronous and Asynchronous Control of Markov Jumping System/Switching System" in lecture Hall 415, School of Electrical Engineering on the afternoon of May 13th, At the invitation of School of Electrical Engineering, Jiangsu University.

The report was chaired by Professor Zhao Wenxiang, Party Secretary of Electrical College, and nearly 100 teachers and students of Electrical College attended the report. At the beginning of the report, Professor Zhao Wenxiang, on behalf of all the teachers and students of The School of Electrical Engineering, welcomed Professor Niu Yugang and introduced him briefly. At the invitation of Professor Zhao Wenxiang, Professor Niu Yugang shared with the teachers and students how to improve their enthusiasm for scientific research and maintain their academic enthusiasm. At the meeting, Professor Niu first introduced some theoretical knowledge of the jump system/switch system. Then, combined with his own research results, Professor Niu has made a detailed introduction to the control design of deterministic and stochastic hopping systems. At last, Professor Niu yugang also introduced the hot issues about the hopping system/switching system. At the end of the friendly interactive session, students enthusiastically raised questions and Professor Niu patiently answered them. The presentation lasts for nearly an hour and deepen students' understanding of the stability control of the jump system/switch system.

Niu Yugang, professor and doctoral supervisor of East China University of Science and Technology. He has presided over 5 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He was awarded the second prize of Shanghai Natural Science in 2010 and 2016, the second prize of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress in 2014, and the first prize of Natural Science of the Chinese Association of Automation in 2018. He serves as Associate editor of International journals of Information Sciences, Neurocomputing, Journal of Franklin Institute, IET Control Theory & Applications, International Journal of System Science, Editorial Board member of Control & Decision and Journal of East China University of Science and Technology. Additionally, He is also a member of the Control theory Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, a member of the Information Physical System Control and Decision-making Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, and a director of the Shanghai Society of Systems Engineering.
